The 10 best shows to stream on Disney Plus and Hulu from 2025

Disney Plus and Hulu had an eventful year. Not only did the streaming services release a swath of exciting original shows and new seasons, but they’re also in the midst of a transformation that will further integrate Hulu with Disney Plus. The “unified” app experience will have a revamped interface that’s supposed to make it easier to browse through shows and movies from all of its streaming services when it rolls out next year.

For now, though, here’s a list of the best shows from 2025 that you can watch on Disney Plus and Hulu.

Alien: Earth takes place two years before Ridley Scott’s 1979 Alien film. It follows Wendy (Sydney Chandler), a “hybrid” who has had her consciousness transferred into a synthetic body, as she leads a group of soldiers tasked with investigating the crash site of the USCSS Maginot, where they make some disturbing, otherworldly discoveries that shed light on the origins of the xenomorphs.

Disney brought back Andor for a second season, and it’s just as good as the last. The 12-episode season continues to highlight Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and the Rebel Army’s efforts to take down the Galactic Empire, which has only become stronger. Unlike season 1, this new season takes place over the course of several years, driving the plot toward the events that unfold in Rogue One.

After almost two decades, King of the Hill has returned, and it introduces an older cast that has changed alongside Arlen, Texas. Following a stint at a propane company in Saudi Arabia, Hank and Peggy Hill settle back into town alongside Boomhauer, Dale, and Bill, while an adult Bobby manages a Japanese-German fusion restaurant in Dallas.

Speaking of animated revivals, Futurama’s comeback is still going strong with season 14, which features ten episodes filled with the latest in wacky adventures from Fry, Bender, and Leela. I think the logline just about sums it up:

Bender is rampaging out of control! A volcano is about to explode! Fry confronts a rival for Leela’s love! And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much!

Ethan Hawke stars as Lee Raybon, an investigative journalist and bookstore owner in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who may have dug too far into his latest story. After publishing an expose on the city’s prominent Washberg family, one of its members, Dale, winds up dead in what appears to be a suicide. But Raybon isn’t taking Dale’s death at face value, launching his own investigation that gets him into a tangled mess with some of the community’s most dangerous people.

If you’re a fan of the classic Spider-Man comic book art style, you might want to check Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on Disney Plus. The animated series revisits Peter Parker’s journey to becoming the web-slinging superhero, but it introduces some twists, including a new supporting cast and ominously placing Norman Osborn as Parker’s mentor.

This miniseries — set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), a young genius with a knack for building armored suits similar to the one worn by Iron Man. After getting expelled from MIT, Williams moves back to her hometown of Chicago, where she comes across a magical criminal organization led by Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos).

Paradise is a political thriller set inside a Colorado bunker, where only the wealthiest and most powerful individuals reside after a cataclysmic event. US President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) is one of those residents until his suspicious death rocks the upscale community. Secret Service Agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) emerges as an immediate suspect, forcing him to try to uncover what really happened.

Chad Powers is kind of like the Ted Lasso of Hulu. It’s based on a comedy sketch featuring Eli Manning, which had the star player go undercover at Penn State tryouts as “Chad Powers.” But instead of making Manning don a wig and mustache, Hulu tapped Glenn Powell to play Russ Holliday, a disgraced former quarterback who attempts to get a second chance at football by disguising himself as Powers and trying out for the South Georgia Catfish college team.

Daredevil: Born Again picks up years after the original Daredevil series, which was canceled by Netflix in 2018. In this series, Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with superhuman senses who moonlights as a vigilante known as Daredevil. Though Murdock is hesitant to assume his alter-ego, he steps back into the suit after Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) — also known as Kingpin — becomes the mayor of New York City, waging a war on masked vigilantes, while propping up his own criminal empire.
